How Google cloud print works:

Select the document to be printed and tap on the e-print logo in the printer control panel on your mobile,laptop or tablet and the printer in the storage area starts printing immediately .You can print emails,webpage or whatever you desire.

Steps to register printer with Google cloud print:

Compatibility:

  • HP e-print enabled printer
  • A computer device running Linux, OS X v10.7 or later, or Windows XP or later.
  • Web browser – Google chrome
  • Gmail account
  • Printer connected to the internet.
  • Power supply to the printer.

Steps

  • Open the browser – chrome.
  • In the menu bar choose ‘settings’ and click on ‘advanced settings’.
  • Tap on ‘Google Cloud Print’ and select‘manage’
  • A new window opens which will show you all the printers detected.
  • Click the option ‘New Devices’ and “Register’ to confirm.
  • .A confirmation page will be displayed to ensure registration.
  • But if your printer is shown under the option ‘My Devices’ then your printer is already registered.

Printing procedure

Google cloud print enables you to print data from your computer device as well as websites.

  1. Using Computer or laptop

Follow the steps given below to print a document from computer device:

  • Sign in to your Google account.
  • Visit https://www.google.com/cloudprint#printers
  • Select ‘print ‘option and go to “Upload file to print”.
  • Select a file from ‘My computer’ and upload the file that needs to be printed.
  • select your printer and tap on‘print’.
  • The file get printed immediately

Follow the steps given below to print an email or a web page from your Computer:

  • Open Google Chrome.
  • Select the page you want to print.
  • From the menu, select the option ‘Print’
  • Under destination, click the option ‘Change’ and select the printer you want to print from.
  • Make required changes in the Print window and then select ‘Print’.
  • The page gets printed immediately.
  1. Using Android or ios mobile devices

Follow the steps given below to print data from your mobile device:

  • Install Cloud Print from Google Play Store in your mobile phone.
  • Go to ‘settings’> ’More settings’> “print”
  • Scroll down to reach ‘cloud print’ and select ‘on’.
  • Now select the file or image from your device that needs to be printed ( or) move to the web browser if you need to print an email or a web page and select it.
  • Go to the extreme left corner of the screen and Select the menu icon
  • Click on ‘print’ and then ‘Google print’.
  • Select your printer and give the ‘print’ command.
  • The required document gets printed instantly.
